Levoit’s new Vital Pet Pro Air Purifier is a targeted solution for pet owners who find their homes invaded by the odour of wet dogs and a constant stream of pet hair.

Designed with a three-stage filtration system, the machine can trap pet hair, dander, and odors. The U-shaped air inlet is said to capture airborne pet hair and improve airflow, preventing the filter from becoming clogged. After testing the purifier for a week, I found it impressively effective at collecting fur and trapping debris. The room smelled much fresher after the purifier had been running.

The companion app offers different modes, including Auto Plus Mode, which monitors air quality and adjusts the purifier’s performance accordingly. Pet Mode alternates between high and low fan speeds to capture particulates and maintain air quality while reducing noise and energy use. The purifier uses a simple color system to indicate air quality, with red meaning bad air, and cyan meaning very good.

The Vital Pet Pro is a bit larger than expected, so make sure you have enough floor space before bringing one home. At its highest setting, the fan is definitely audible, but it’s quiet enough to run overnight without disrupting sleep. For light sleepers, Sleep Mode makes it even quieter.
