Meta has released the code for its new AI agent, Muse, allowing users to create their own gadgets. From attaching it to a small screen or a Raspberry Pi, the possibilities are endless.
‘Muse gadgets are open source devices you build yourself,’ Meta notes, encouraging creativity with a warning to ‘proceed at your own risk!’
The company has also released a Muse Home Link gadget, which can control home devices with community-built skills. Just 5,000 have been manufactured, but a waitlist has opened for eager users.
While it’s a fascinating development, some might question whether DIY AI could lead to a future where our homes are smarter – or more confusing – than ever before.
For now, the world wonders: can we really live with an AI sidekick like a Charm, or is this just another tech fad?
