We are quickly approaching Apple’s ‘Welcome Home’ launch event, where the tech giant is expected to introduce a host of smart home-related devices and software updates. The lineup includes a new smart home hub, a refreshed HomePod Mini and Apple TV, and possibly a new platform called homeOS, which could integrate with LG devices.
The smart home hub is anticipated to feature a 6-inch touchscreen, capable of mounting on a wall or sitting on a countertop, with voice and facial recognition for a personalized user experience. While not much is changing with the HomePod Mini and Apple TV, both are set for minor processor upgrades to support Siri AI, enhancing their functionality and responsiveness.
Additionally, expect to see a range of LG devices that work seamlessly with Apple’s HomeKit, promising a cohesive smart home ecosystem. However, it remains to be seen whether these new devices will truly transform the landscape or merely add a few new options to the existing range.
