EufyMake E1: Print 3D Texture on Your Mugs, But Not Labels

While this printer adds depth to everyday items, it’s best left to serious creatives or your next big idea.

The eufyMake E1 from Anker takes traditional printing into a new dimension. Designed for those who want more than just flat ink on paper, the E1 uses special UV ink and intense light to print 3D textures onto various surfaces like ceramic mugs or metal magnets.

Unlike standard home printers, this gadget can transform everyday objects with intricate designs, making your coffee mug a work of art. However, it comes with a hefty price tag—over $2,000—and the maintenance required might make you want to keep it in your neighbour's garage instead.

The printing process is surprisingly simple. After setting up and calibrating the printer, you attach plates and adapters before placing your item on an adhesive mat. The EufyMake app uses the camera to find the top of your object, ensuring a perfect print every time—or nearly so. While the results are impressive, it's unlikely that most people will use this for mundane tasks like return labels.

For those looking to start a side hustle or simply want to impress their friends with customised gifts, the E1 could be just what they need. But for everyday tasks? It might be better suited to a more casual setting, perhaps as a tool for creative experimentation in the home workshop.
