Dreame, the Chinese manufacturer of robot vacuums, has unveiled its foray into smartphones with two intriguing models. The Aurora Nex LS1 is a modular phone featuring magnetic modules like cameras and fans, while the Aurora Lux series showcases various luxurious designs with gemstone decorations.
The company’s ambitious vision includes a proprietary operating system called Aurora AIOS, which promises proactive services over passive ones. However, the practicality of such high-end features on their first phones is questionable given Dreame's previous focus on vacuum cleaners.
Other highlights from the event include a rocket-boosted electric car and a moving speaker TV, showing that Dreame isn't just dreaming up fancy phone designs. Yet, the question remains: with so many unusual products, will consumers buy into Dreame’s new ventures?
