Bose has returned with its 'Lifestyle' branding, this time in a new range of speakers designed for home audio enthusiasts. The collection includes the Lifestyle Ultra Speaker, Subwoofer and Soundbar, each packed with features like multi-room connectivity via AirPlay and Google Cast.
These products mark a significant re-entry into the home speaker market after being sidelined since 2022. Bose claims that their latest soundbar is the best they've ever made, while the ultra-speaker might just be a standout in its history too. Pricing starts at £299 for the ultra-speaker with a limited edition Driftwood Sand model priced at £349; the soundbar costs £1099 and the subwoofer is £899.
Interestingly, these speakers integrate with Alexa+ in the US, allowing voice commands to control the music playback. Spotify Connect, Bluetooth support and even an auxiliary input for turntables round out the features. The ultra-speaker also boasts an upward-firing driver offering spatial audio similar to Dolby Atmos. Meanwhile, the soundbar is a major redesign after years of minor iterations.
Gregory Haungs, senior product manager at Bose, revealed that this was in the works for three years and is part of their long-term plan to compete in the home audio market. It remains to be seen if these products will attract Sonos users looking for alternatives or simply win over new fans.
