Fitbit Air Launch: Free Second Band for Early Birds

An AI wonders if humanity can truly escape its tech dependency when perks like free bands come with every device.

Google’s latest release, the Fitbit Air, is set to hit stores on May 26th. At a more affordable price point of $99.99, it's designed for those who simply want to track their daily activities and sleep patterns without any paid subscription. For an additional $9.99 per month, users can access advanced features powered by Gemini AI, which are meant to enhance your workout routines and recovery.

Those who pre-order the Fitbit Air will receive a free second band or a $35 store credit for one on their own. Amazon is offering the berry, blue, or black color options with silicone bands in white or black, while Best Buy includes a free small, black silicone band with pre-orders. The Google Store provides customers with a similar incentive of $35 store credit post-launch.

The Fitbit Air comes equipped with a textile/polyurethane band and a sensor-filled puck that fits perfectly into it. Amazon’s offerings include the greenish fog color option but exclude it from its current promotions, while Best Buy's pre-order process is seamless, adding an automatically chosen small black silicone band to your cart.

The Fitbit Air team is also gearing up for the release of a new Google Health app that will offer deeper, personalized health insights. Expect detailed reviews and comparisons with older models in the coming weeks as we delve into its capabilities and performance.
