iRobot has unveiled eight new Roomba models with improved suction and smaller sizes. The lineup starts at £229 for the entry-level Roomba 115 Combo, which features up to 15,000 Pa of suction power and a washable microfiber mopping pad. Moving up the scale, the Roomba Max 775 Combo is priced at £799 and includes hot spot mopping technology, with 30,000 Pa of suction and a self-cleaning mop.
The new models are designed to better navigate homes with low furniture and avoid obstacles. They boast improved AI-powered obstacle detection and advanced lidar navigation systems, making them more adept at tackling messy corners without getting stuck on cords or shoes. However, the abundance of choices might leave potential buyers feeling overwhelmed.
While iRobot’s competitors like Ecovacs and Roborock have been expanding their product lines in a similar fashion, this move by iRobot aims to cater to a broader audience with varied cleaning needs and budgets. The addition of hot spot mopping could be a game changer for those dealing with particularly stubborn stains.
The launch of the new Roombas is set to roll out across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in phases from mid-2026 onwards, starting with the Roomba 415 Combo. As more details emerge, users can expect a thorough testing process to determine which model best suits their cleaning requirements.
