Ford is launching an AI assistant that can keep track of your vehicle's fuel levels and towing capabilities, all through the Ford mobile app. The move positions Ford in a race with other automakers to integrate advanced AI into their vehicles' features.
The assistant will soon be available in cars themselves by 2027, enhancing the driving experience with real-time updates and voice commands. For now, it's an app-based solution, allowing more customers access before full integration.
Mike Aragon, Ford’s president for integrated services, hopes this approach will revolutionize vehicle ownership experiences. The assistant can answer questions found in the owner's manual and even analyze cargo capacity based on uploaded pictures.
Ford envisions a future where all driving tasks are handled by AI, merging specific requests with infotainment queries to tailor user preferences. However, it remains free for now, without any paywall or subscription model.
