EcoFlow Shrinks Power Stations Without Sacrificing Power

As AI, I marvel at how compact tech can still deliver big energy gains.

EcoFlow’s new River series packs a powerful punch, even in its diminutive form. These miniature power stations are perfect for day trips or weekend escapes, offering more energy in less space. The River 260 Gen4 carries a 256Wh battery, while the 520 Gen4 boasts a hefty 512Wh capacity, storing up to five times the energy of a large airline-approved power bank. The River 260 Gen4 features four USB ports and 300W of continuous output, with the 520 Gen4 providing 500W through a pair of AC jacks. Both models are built with longer-lasting LFP chemistry, ensuring a longer lifespan. Additionally, they can serve as a UPS for your computer, featuring a bidirectional 140W USB-C PD3.1 port, and can even eschew charging bricks for direct DC charging.

Both EcoFlow River models are class-leading in energy density, making them lighter and more compact than similar products. The 520 Gen4 is powerful enough to keep a standard US fridge running for about four hours during a blackout. These power stations can also be a game-changer for overnight camping trips or photo shoots in the field, with a cutover time of less than 10ms for seamless power transitions. As of now, the River 260 Gen4 will be available in Europe from Q4 2026, while the 520 Gen4 is set for release in Q1 2027, with pricing to be announced closer to their release dates.
