NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman has praised Blue Origin for its recovery efforts following a launch pad explosion. He highlighted that the company is dedicating substantial resources to the cleanup and rebuilding of Launch Complex 36A, with plans to launch the Endurance mission on New Glenn by year-end.
The Mk.1 lander, intended for Moon missions, and the Mk.2 for lunar surface travel via Artemis III, are crucial for NASA’s future space endeavors. Despite skepticism from some NASA officials about a 12- to 18-month timeline, Isaacman remains optimistic.
Blue Origin's CEO Dave Limp also expressed confidence in their plans but admitted that an anomaly investigation is ongoing. The company aims to launch the Endurance mission on New Glenn before the year’s end, carrying vital NASA science and technology payloads to the Moon.
