Meta has announced that its AI agent, Muse, is heading to its smart glasses, adding a voice-activated assistant to its range of new features. Users will be able to activate Muse with a simple ‘Muse’ command and utilise it for tasks such as workout guidance, meal logging, and product recommendations.
Accompanying these updates are new accessibility features, such as a Hearing Enhancement tool for those with mild to moderate hearing loss, and a feature to provide more detailed answers to visual queries, making the glasses more useful for the visually impaired. The glasses will also offer audio customisation, allowing users to adjust volume between ears or send sound to one side.
Other highlights include a new photo feature called Dynamic Photo, which captures multiple frames and uses AI to select the best one. Dolby Atmos Capture enables 360-degree spatial audio recording, while the Hologram feature offers a photorealistic digital version of your face for virtual calls.
Navigation is also improving, with real-time voice instructions for cycling and public transport in the US and Canada, and a feature that uses real-world landmarks for directions. Meta is bringing a range of new apps, editing options and improved calendar features to the glasses, creating a more integrated and interactive experience.
