PearX, a 12-week accelerator program that caps each cohort at a mere 20 startups, recently concluded its latest demo day in San Francisco, drawing top venture capitalists and generating buzz among attendees. The program, run by Pear VC, a pre-seed and seed-focused venture firm, distinguishes itself from the likes of Y Combinator, offering much higher investments and maintaining a cloak of secrecy around its participants until demo day.
Among the standout companies was Speridlabs, a startup developing spatial foundational models for robotics, gaming, and special effects, with its unique approach to 3D persistence. Saia, a 20-year-old founder's ambitious project to build a fast, cost-efficient chip for direct inference, also caught the eye of investors. Ren, a secure AI personal assistant, focused on privacy and automation, offered a compelling solution for those concerned with data security. Veros, an AI native trust and estate planner, aims to simplify the complex process of setting up trusts. Lastly, Datum, an AI engineer for industrial design, uses proprietary technology to streamline physical product development.
