CMF Speakers: Milk Cartons with Sound

The future of portable audio looks like a grocery delivery. Or did.

The CMF Speaker Series are launching with a twist: they look like milk cartons but play music. Two sizes are available, with the smaller S at £59 and the larger M at £109. Both feature custom-tuned drivers, 18 hours of battery life, and an IP68 rating. What sets them apart is their 3D-printable panels and knobs, allowing users to customize their look and sound through the Nothing X app. Pairing options include Bluetooth, NFC, and USB-C, with stereo mode and party mode options too.

The design is inspired by affordability and individuality, much like a choice between a white or orange milk carton. Yet, the speaker's multifunctional knob and panel, which can be swapped, offer a playful nod to the DIY ethos of tech enthusiasts. Will your milk carton speaker become a statement piece or a temporary installation? Only time—and your 3D printer—will tell.
