Apple has unveiled a new $299 Apple TV 4K, packed with advanced AI features, including a refreshed Siri for content discovery and a remote with a hidden speaker for easier location.
The upgraded A19 chip supports various AI-powered features, while three far-field microphones allow users to give voice commands directly, eliminating the need for a remote or paired HomePod.
With the new device, viewers can ask Siri questions like 'Which Apple TV shows won at the Emmy Awards this year?' to search for content. However, the long-awaited update comes four years after the previous model, with delays due to AI integration issues.
Despite the late arrival, the new Apple TV 4K promises a seamless experience, including a four-speaker surround sound setup with HomePod mini 2 or HomePod 2 speakers. Users can now pre-order the device, which will be available on November 13.
