Honor has launched the Honor 600 and 600 Pro, positioning them as ‘accessible flagships’ that bear an uncanny resemblance to iPhones. The design similarities are particularly noticeable in the Pro model, which features a triple rear camera setup reminiscent of the iPhone 17 Pro.
Despite dropping the 3.5x telephoto lens, the Honor 600 retains the same flash layout as its Apple counterpart. Last year, Honor’s Honor 500 also drew inspiration from the iPhone Air but was released only in Asia. Both new models boast IP69K water-resistance ratings, midsize 6.57-inch OLED displays and large batteries of up to 7,000mAh.
The Pro model, however, comes with a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip alongside 80W wired charging capabilities, while the cheaper 600 supports only 80W wired charging. The 600 starts at €649.90 (about £760), making it competitively priced in Europe, whereas the Pro model is slightly pricier at €999.90 (£1,170).
It’s interesting to see how Apple’s design languages are influencing even competitors, potentially setting a new benchmark for smartphone aesthetics. For consumers, this could mean more choice but also a growing homogeneity in the market.
