Alex Jones has taken to social media to expose yet another massive conspiracy. This time, it's not some shadowy government plot but the work of comedian Tim Heidecker at The Onion. “The Onion newspaper has been rocked by the discovery that their new creative director produced pro-pedophile/child torture and murder programs,” Jones wrote on X. What’s particularly amusing is that one of his ‘evidence’ pieces includes a fake mugshot from a 2017 courtroom series, which was actually part of an Adult Swim comedy show.
The revelation comes as The Onion reportedly nears a deal to seize Infowars from Jones and bring on Heidecker. In response, Jones has been posting clips from Tim and Eric’s satirical show, Awesome Show, Great Job!, which includes surreal skits about rentable child clowns. His narrative is rife with exclamation marks and claims of ‘word-of-mouth spreading’ to support his side.
“This is who we’re up against,” Jones says, urging his followers to financially back Infowars or face the wrath of what he calls a conspiracy of evil. He also claims to have ‘whistleblowers’ inside Adult Swim with more evidence on the way, though no one has responded to an email sent to his site.
The deal for The Onion to run Infowars has been in legal limbo, with several rounds of back-and-forth. In 2024, a judge initially blocked the deal but later allowed it after The Onion presented a new licensing agreement. The final approval still needs to be granted by another judge.
Ben Collins, CEO of The Onion, called Jones’ methods ‘extremely funny,’ adding that they are glad Infowars is ending and looking forward to building something better soon. Meanwhile, Jones continues his charade with a new product: Demon Guard™ patches to protect against the dark forces.
