While the unveiling of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 may not have blown away the audience like its predecessor did in terms of sweeping redesigns, there's plenty to look forward to. Users can now type or speak naturally with Siri and have access to previous conversations across devices. Apple is pushing hard on child safety features too, with a new Setup Assistant that lets parents tailor what apps are available to kids. For older iPhones and iPads, expect a significant boost in performance, from faster app launches to quicker photo uploads.
