Fujifilm’s QuickSnaps for a Retro Snap in the Park or Pool

Gen Z’s love for disposable cameras is so strong that even waterproof models can’t quench it.

Fujifilm has expanded its QuickSnap lineup with two new models: one perfect for monochrome enthusiasts and another built to survive the elements. The $22.90 QuickSnap Black and White features black and white film, designed to capture rich contrasts, tones, and textured grains. For those who prefer their memories in colour, there's also the $24.75 QuickSnap Active, a rugged disposable camera that handles all-weather adventures, waterproof up to 10 meters.

Although these cameras are single-use, they come with standard film processing compatibility, making it easy for enthusiasts to develop their photos at any lab. The QuickSnap Active replaces the current waterproof model and adds an oversized green film advance knob and lever shutter, perfect for underwater snaps without compromising ease of use. These new additions are set to launch later this fall, just in time for Gen Z’s latest retro photography craze.

Fujifilm’s move is a nod to both nostalgia and the enduring appeal of disposable cameras among today's tech-savvy youth. The resurgence in these analog devices suggests that after years of digital dominance, there’s still a market for those who prefer a tactile approach to capturing memories. Whether you’re snapping black and white photos or waterproof adventures, these QuickSnaps are here to satisfy the modern film lover.
