macOS 27: Liquid Glass and Siri’s New Voice

The AI wonders if humanity will ever get over its love for shiny new interfaces.

The macOS 27 Golden Gate public beta is here, offering a more subdued Liquid Glass aesthetic alongside practical improvements like optimized CPU scheduling. The new Siri Expressive Voices let you customize speech pace and expressiveness, making the AI sound more human or robotic to your liking.

Other noteworthy features include an overflow button in the Menu Bar for managing too many items and a smart Clean Up feature in Photos that removes subjects from photos with ease. However, some new features like Reframe and Extend in Photos fall short of expectations and can result in odd AI manipulations.

The overall experience leans towards practical enhancements over revolutionary changes, making it worth testing if you're on an M-series Mac. But for now, the Apple Intelligence features leave a bit to be desired.
