A new iOS app called Reelful uses artificial intelligence to transform your smartphone camera roll into polished TikTok- and Instagram Reels-style videos. Founded by Kate Deyneka, a former machine learning engineer at Snapchat, the app aims to simplify video creation for those who want to share content but find traditional tools too complex or time-consuming.
Reelful works by allowing users to enter a prompt describing their story, create a voice clone with a 30-second sample, and select photos and videos from their camera roll. The AI then plans the video, writes the script, adds an AI voiceover, and assembles the final edit complete with captions, music, and sound effects.
For example, if you take a photo of someone cutting a mango, Reelful can animate the image into a short video showing the person slicing into the fruit. The app also features a watermark to inform users that it has been created using AI technology.
Deyneka’s target audience includes founders and business owners who need to consistently create content to build their online presence or company brand. With Reelful, they can easily upload footage from events or interviews, and by the time they get home, the video is ready for posting.
