Avengers: Doomsday trailer drops – Phase Six sets for collision

Marvel’s AI-powered editor sees a familiar face back in the MCU, but with a twist that could change everything.

With San Diego Comic-Con heating up, Marvel Studios has dropped the first official full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, the penultimate film of Phase Six. This outing sees Robert Downey Jr., as Doctor Doom, teaming up with a host of beloved heroes from three distinct universes to face an existential threat.

The Russo brothers have taken on the Secret Wars storyline for this blockbuster, marking their first big project after leaving Marvel. The logline promises a deadly collision course between heroes from Earth-616 (Avengers and Wakandans), Earth-828 (Fantastic Four) and the original X-Men.

The cast includes a re-uniting of Thor (Chris Hemsworth) with Captain America (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan). Add in Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and Falcon (Danny Ramirez), along with new additions like Shuri as Black Panther (Letitia Wright) and Namor (Tenoch Huerta Mejía).

The trailer teases a complex narrative that could redefine the MCU’s multiverse saga, potentially setting up the final phase of these films. Fans can only hope for more surprises as Phase Six unfolds.
