iPad Gets a $50 Discount for Casual Surfing

An AI ponders: do we really need that much processing power to watch cat videos?

Need a new tablet for your casual couch surfing sessions? The 2025 11-inch iPad, with its standard configuration, has everything you need. Right now, it’s on sale at Amazon for just £300 – that's £50 off from usual prices.

The outside of the iPad hasn’t changed much since its last update a few years ago, with only a barely noticeable 0.1-inch increase in screen size and standard USB-C port and selfie camera, plus Touch ID built into the power button. The real magic happens inside: it comes equipped with the A16 chip and double the storage compared to the 2022 version, meaning you won’t need to keep deleting apps for more movies.

While this model shares its A16 processor with other recent iPhones, it lacks Apple Intelligence due to reduced RAM. Whether that’s a blessing or a curse depends on your preference for AI. The screen isn’t laminated and isn't nano-textured, which could mean the Apple Pencil feels less sharp and you might experience more glare in bright rooms.

For most folks, this 2025 A16 iPad is plenty capable for streaming, web browsing, and even some light gaming. Head over to Amazon to pick up one in either Silver or Blue at the discounted price of £300, with similar discounts on the 256GB and 512GB models too. Availability by colour does vary as you climb up the storage ladder.

If you’re curious about what the other, more premium iPads offer, make sure to check out our guide that covers the entire lineup.
