Bingers, a new app from one of TV Time's original founders, Antonio Pinto, aims to bring back the beloved forum and tracking features that users loved about its predecessor. After TV Time’s unexpected closure by Whip Media, loyal fans rallied in hopes of saving their favourite social hub for TV and movie enthusiasts.
Unlike other trackers, Bingers offers a unique social element allowing users to create profiles, comment on shows and movies, and even rate episodes with emojis – features that few other apps offer. Importantly, it also allows users to import data from TV Time’s archives, ensuring their history isn’t lost.
To address financial concerns, Bingers will initially let users contribute directly to cover server costs, a move Pinto says reflects the community's previous wishes. In the long term, he has plans for bringing people together in real life but is keeping those details under wraps.
Bingers seeks to reignite the spark of social connection that made TV Time so special, all while being mindful of users' financial burdens.
