Starting on Friday, August 28th, Apple will begin streaming Friday Night Baseball live on its Vision Pro headset. The stream will feature commentary from various analysts and reporters with live graphics anchored around viewers’ space during the game.
After games conclude, replays will be made available in the Apple TV app. This adds to the library of immersive content users can access on Vision Pro, which includes parkour across Paris and an Alicia Keys rehearsal. The first Friday Night Baseball matchup will pit Boston Red Sox against New York Yankees, with streams continuing through September 18th.
Last year, Apple streamed a selection of live Lakers NBA games to the headset, hoping to entice basketball fans. This move suggests baseball could be another key sport for Apple’s tech, extending its appeal beyond just gaming and music. For now, only Apple Vision Pro users will get this exclusive content experience.
