My cat Pablo is a hefty, finicky feline who resists all forms of technological intervention. Despite our best efforts, he clings stubbornly to his routines and refuses to budge.
The vet’s warnings about the perils of obesity go unheeded; Pablo’s war on pet tech began with a Litter-Robot 4, which ended up being too cumbersome for our four-story home. His disdain for automated feeders and robots is palpable, leaving us to weigh him manually every few weeks.
Pablo's primary pleasures are his catnip squirrel and emotional support Squishmallows. He’s not impressed by ball tracks or wand toys, viewing them with snooty disgust. All he really wants is for me and my spouse to sit quietly on the bed and give him chin scratches.
Despite our attempts to use smart alarm clocks as affection eaters, Pablo remains indifferent. His uncompromising love for routine and his disdain for tech gadgets make it clear that even cats are immune to progress sometimes.
