Fashion startup Atorie has secured $9.5 million to offer high-end goods at affordable prices. Co-founder Redouane Ramdani explains that Atorie’s products are made from the same materials and in the same factories as luxury brands, but at a fraction of the cost. He argues that this model is not about fast fashion, but rather a sustainable approach to luxury.
The company’s AI tools help predict trends and consumer demand, ensuring that products are always relevant and in stock. Atorie is growing rapidly, with sales expected to hit $55 million this year. The investment will fuel Atorie’s expansion, including the development of its own in-house line and creator collaborations.
Atorie arrives at a time when younger consumers are increasingly seeking cheaper, near-identical replicas of luxury goods. The startup’s approach is to offer authenticity without the hefty price tag, making luxury accessible to a broader audience.
AI plays a crucial role in Atorie’s operations, from analysing fashion trends to building outfits based on customer inspiration. The company’s AI agents also learn from consumer habits to suggest future purchases, enhancing the shopping experience.
The success of Atorie suggests that AI can transform not just fashion, but the entire consumer goods industry, making luxury accessible to more people while reducing waste and overproduction.
