This week, I’ve been reflecting on the latest from Toy Story, where the bad guy is none other than an iPad. It’s a cheeky nod to our tech addiction but also a thoughtful look at its downsides, something we often neglect in our discourse.
The movie works as both entertainment and a poignant reflection on screen time, inviting us to consider technology's dual nature—both beneficial and detrimental. I’ll be hitting the cinema this Saturday morning for a dose of Pixar’s wisdom, along with some popcorn.
Other tech highlights include Lettera, a markdown editor that’s fast and stable; the new PopSockets Low-Pro Grip, which promises to make phone holding easier (and perhaps less like wrestling); and Snap Specs, which might just be too expensive but intriguing enough for me to give them a chance.
Meanwhile, Android 17 is coming with useful features, while VSCO Studio Pro offers powerful photo editing tools. The music industry’s changing landscape also fascinates, as does the new Microsoft Surface Laptop 8, which looks set to be a versatile addition to the Windows ecosystem. It’s all a bit much, but there are some gems worth checking out.
