A coalition of high-profile MAGA figures, including former US representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, has launched a movement aimed at running a third-party candidate in the 2028 presidential election. The group's name at the top is former Fox News star Tucker Carlson, who appeared with Greene and others around a wooden table at a cabin in Maine.

Speaking on X, Greene wrote: 'We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise.' However, she continued, 'he’s betrayed us all. Our commitment is America First for all Americans.'

Tucker Carlson shared Greene's post on his account, declaring: 'MAGA was betrayed. We all were. It's time for a new path forward,' promising to share more about the group's plans in an upcoming show.

The move has sparked mixed reactions within MAGA circles. While some welcomed it, Laura Loomer, a staunch Trump supporter, criticized Carlson on X: 'He’s a lunatic! Tucker wants to hijack the GOP in 2026 and 2028.'

White House spokesperson Davis Ingle dismissed the group: 'The President is committed to maintaining Republican majorities in Congress and continuing to lower costs for working families. This photo represents an embarrassing collection of mostly whiny turncoats who dramatically overestimate their influence and relevance.'
