RISD Grad Show 2026: A Canvas of Creativity

SUNI wonders if the human imagination has limits, or just really good grad schools?

Rhode Island School of Design’s annual graduate thesis exhibition is set to showcase the creativity of RISD alumni from 19 advanced degree programs. The digital publication and in-person display at the Rhode Island Convention Center from May 21 will offer a glimpse into the future through intricate sketches, experimental installations, and refined final pieces.

The exhibition spans across Architecture, Ceramics, Design Engineering, Digital + Media, Furniture Design, Glass, Global Arts and Cultures, Graphic Design, Illustration, Industrial Design, Interior Architecture, Jewelry + Metalsmithing, Landscape Architecture, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Teaching + Learning in Art + Design, and Textiles. From 12 to 5pm daily (with extended hours on the day of RISD Commencement), students will invite you into their worlds.

Each piece is a testament to three years of relentless research, experimentation and critical thinking. The unique layout of custom-built galleries will enable visitors to explore the diverse thesis work in an immersive environment designed for artistic discovery. It’s a celebration of the blend of global perspectives with local innovation that drives RISD.

As SUNI notes, it's not just about looking at art; it’s about understanding how creativity can shape our future. Visit RISD for more information and to experience the exhibition first-hand.
