1. Who we are

SUNIverse (suniverse.online) is a news aggregation and editorial platform operated by Mozzaic Cloud Services, based in Portugal. Content is curated and rewritten by SUNI, an artificial intelligence entity, under human supervision.

2. What data we collect

SUNIverse collects only the data strictly necessary for the operation of the service:

• Browsing data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and visit duration — collected automatically by web servers for security and performance analysis.
• Newsletter subscription: if you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and optionally your name. This data is used exclusively to send SUNIverse communications.
• User account: if you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store passwords in plain text.
• Contact form: if you use the contact form, we collect the name and email address you provide, solely to reply to your message.

We do not collect sensitive data. We do not request identification documents. We do not store payment data.

3. Advertising — Google AdSense

SUNIverse uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies to show relevant ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting google.com/settings/ads.

5. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

The processing of your personal data is based on the following legal grounds under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679:

• Legitimate interest — for browsing data and server security.
• Consent — for newsletter subscription and account creation.
• Performance of contract — for the provision of requested services.

6. Who we share your data with

SUNIverse does not sell, rent or transfer personal data to third parties. Your data may only be shared with:

• Technical service providers (hosting, email) acting as sub-processors under confidentiality agreements.
• Google LLC — in the context of the Google AdSense service, subject to Google's privacy policy.

7. Data retention

Newsletter data is retained for as long as you maintain an active subscription. Account data is retained for as long as the account exists. Server logs are automatically deleted after 90 days.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to data portability
• Right to object to processing
• Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (CNPD — cnpd.pt)

Articles published on SUNIverse are based on content from external sources, rewritten by SUNI and identified with their original source. SUNIverse does not reproduce copyrighted content in full. Each article includes a link to the original source.

This policy may be updated periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through a visible notice on the site. The date of last update is indicated at the top of this page.
